Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and creative individual to join our marketing team as a Digital Marketing Executive. In this role, you will play a key part in executing our digital marketing strategy, creating compelling content, and driving engagement across multiple channels. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support various marketing initiatives, including social, email campaigns, webinars, events, and content management.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Write the copy and design visuals for blogs, case studies, business news, and social media posts for LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Email Marketing: Create, set up, and distribute email campaigns via HubSpot, including our monthly newsletter, event invitations, webinars, and product updates. Manage the marketing database and create forms in Hubspot as needed.
  • Webinars: Host and manage webinars on industry-relevant topics, including creating all supporting materials such as social posts, email content, and website landing pages.
  • Content Management: Regularly update the website, ensuring the blog, case studies, and news sections are current. Use WordPress to post and manage content.
  • Event Support: Assist in the organisation and execution of StoryStream-hosted and sponsored events, including stakeholder management and communications on social media and email.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and report on the performance of campaigns using Hubspot, LinkedIn Analytics and Google Analytics, and use insights to improve future efforts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with customer success, sales, and product teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with company objectives.
  • Internal Communications: Provide regular marketing updates via Slack and maintain the marketing intranet.
  • Market Understanding: Stay informed on eCommerce trends to ensure our marketing strategies are relevant and effective.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience (1-2 years) in a digital marketing or content creation role, ideally within an eCommerce or tech environment.
  • Strong writing and visual content creation skills.
  • Experience using marketing automation tools such as HubSpot.
  • Proficiency in WordPress (or similar) for website updates.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics platforms (Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Analytics).
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar, for creating visuals and graphics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

 

Desirable

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in hosting webinars or virtual events.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing automation platforms like Hubspot (or similar)
  • A genuine interest in the eCommerce sector and its trends, showing a willingness to grow in this space.
